Frequently Asked Questions

  • Where do I park?
    Parking depends on the location of the Videomaker event. For our Chico Workshops, there is plenty of parking at our Videomaker Headquarters. Parking info for our other events will be provided in your Event Confirmation email.
  • Where do I eat?
    There are usually many different options for meals in the area. For the Chico Workshops, restaurant information is provided in your Event Packet during the morning of the first day.
  • Where can my partner go while I am attending the event?
    For Chico Workshops, information and suggestions are provided in your Event Packet during the morning of the first day. For other Videomaker Events, information and suggestions will be posted on the website as the information becomes available.
  • Will I get to ask questions of the VM Editors?
    Depending on the event there is usually time to ask any of the Videomaker Editors questions.
  • What will my day be like?
    A specific event schedule is provided on the events website as they become available.
  • Should I bring my camcorder (Equipment)?
    Videomaker provides the necessary equipment to use during all events however if you have specific questions regarding your camera then you are welcome to bring it. Please note that Videomaker is not resp. for lost, stolen or damaged items.
  • How do I get from the airport to the facility?
    Your confirmation email will include transportation options to and from your event, along with costs when applicable.
  • Will there be coffee and continental breakfast?
    For the Videomaker Workshops in Chico, CA there is hot coffee, water and an assortment of bagels provided. For Summits and Conferences, Videomaker provides water and suggestions for local places to grab a drink and or a snack.
  • How much time will I have with gear "hands-on"?
    For the Videomaker Workshops in Chico, attendees have the opportunity to use gear all three days. For other Videomaker events, the only "hands-on" opportunity is offered in the 1-Day Focused Lesson where each participant is provided a laptop to work on.
  • What equipment do you use?
    During the Videomaker Workshops Sony FX1 HDV camcorders are used as well as Adobe Premiere Pro Editing Software. For the Chico Workshop DVD Authoring track, Videomaker uses Adobe Encore, for the Audio Mixing track we use Adobe Soundbooth and for the Advanced Editing track Adobe Premiere is used.)
